☆SOTW: Ms. Jaie- Kilon Poppin' (Music Video) .☆

Heya guys,

Im back with my song of the week and let me tell you this song is what I call a TUNEEEEE and a half :D. I recently came across this song called Kilon Poppin' (which is a way of asking What's Happening in Pidgin English) and from the first listen I was hooked!

Not only is the song catchy and fun her vocals had me mesmerised. Nowadays I feel that it is hard to come across good female Nigerian singers who can produce up-beat songs whilst still maintaining strong vocals. I can only think of a few such as Omawunmi and Waje but I would have to say Ms. Jaie is definitely up there with them, as she doesn't fail to deliver in this track.

Check out the video below:

Anyways guys I have some album reviews and film reviews coming up pretty soon so be on the lookout :)

Until next time guys...Peace & God bless

☆OOTN: Red Hot Rhythm.☆

Heya guys,

So I'm back with another OOTN. Excuse the toilet pictures but no-one ever helps me take pictures so you gotta do what you gotta do right?!

If you haven't noticed by now I am not a skinny girl (I know shock horror! lol) and It is kind of a struggle finding certain outfits that fit my body right, I'm sure a lot of you can relate! Well I came across this lovely little boutique in Walthamstow market (East London) which surprisingly stocks very nice formal dresses for a range of different sizes. I can't remember the name of the store  (do forgive me) but the label on the dress is called 'Closet'.

☆.Protective Style: Styling Crotchet Braids.☆

Heya guys,

So I just wanted to show you some random ways I have been styling my crotchet braids since I've had them in. I should be taking them out soon as its coming to four weeks of them being installed but I must say this is definitely a GO-TO hairstyle for me!

☆.Protective Style: Crotchet Braids.☆

I loveeee doing crotchet braids, they are so easy and quicker to do than most other styles. Here I tried a different braid pattern. I have done a tutorial for this style previously which you can check out here.
I forgot to take a picture of the hair I used but the colour is 33.

I began with freshly washed and treated hair.

Blow-dried it with grapeseed oil as a heat protectant, see the shrinkage!!

☆.Natural Hair: Simple Styling 2 ways.☆

Here are some picture of how I made two hairstyles out of one. For me being a natural with 4c texture I find that whenever I do things such as twist-outs or braid-outs they become puffy within minutes of me unravelling them.

This hairstyle pictured below is a chunky twist-out in the back and mini twists which I decided to leave in at the front to create a fringe. This was my day hairstyle.

☆.Natural Hair: Re-Dyed My Hair.☆

It definitely has been a while, but I'm back and this time for GOOD! Finally completeld my final year at uni, just waiting for my graduation and then I will officially be FREE FREE FREE!

So for now I will be posting a few updates etc. Firstly let me update you on my hair colour, I re-dyed it using Dark and Lovely 'Red Hot Rhythm' (376). I have to say I am really loving this colour and will be sticking to this from now on (thats if I continue to dye my hair).

☆.eLDee- Today-Today Official Video.☆

Now I have always been a fan of eLDee, always jamming to his songs on repeat (trust me you can check my itunes). So you can understand how excited I was when I found out he'd released a music video for his recent song Today-Today. The sweet and playful music video centres around the theme of marriage which of course you can't go wrong with! Check out the video below and also don't listen to my all time favourite song from him called "higher" when you're done :).

Until Next Time,
Peace & God bless

☆.Song of the week: Airis Olowo Ori Mi.☆

Now I'm pretty sure most of you know how much I looooveee my music, so I decided to post my song/music videos of the week just letting you guys know what songs i'm really feeling. They may not necessarily be new songs but just songs I can't get out of my head or I'm really feeling. Btw I have weird taste at times but anyways enjoy.

Starting this off is a song by Airis titled Olowo Ori Mi (My Lover), it is a Nigerian love song with a blend of different instruments! The meaning of the song is 'the owner of the money on my head' in simplest terms which is used by a wife to respectably reference her husband or a prospective husband.
To me this song is just too cute, or maybe I just love yoruba love songs too much who knows! Anyways enjoy!

Peace & God bless
