☆.D.I.Y Ankara Skirt & OOTN + Ankara Styles.☆

Heyaa guys,

So I'm back with another ankara D.I.Y woop woop! First of all let me once again state that I am far from an expert, I do not use a pattern and pretty much go with the flow!
At first I wanted to create a maxi skirt with the fabric but it didn't look how I imagined it so I later cut it and made it a midi skirt. So lets get to it shall we =]

What I Used:
+ Sewing Machine
+Tailors Chalk
+Ankara fabric
+Elastic

Heres how I did it

Step 1:
First I made sure the fabric I wanted to use was folded, then using tailors chalk I traced around a skirt I had. Here I use a maxi skirt because I wanted to make a maxi skirt to begin with but changed my mind towards the end.

☆.D.I.Y Ankara Top & OOTN.☆

A couple of weeks ago I was let down by my tailor (as usual) who failed to produce an ankara dress for me, so I took it upon myself to sew something myself, a top. I only had around 6 hours to complete the top so I went with something simple that wouldn't take too much time to complete. I've never really had experience with sewing (apart from my textiles class in year 10 which I never paid attention in lol) so this was more an easy way to do it without any patterns.

Here's how I did it:

Step 1:
Trace around desired top twice for the front and back (I added length and sleeves to mine also).

☆.Graduation OOTD & Pictures.☆

It was my graduation back in July and I have only recently found time to finally sit down, organise and compile my pictures from the day. I still can't believe I am a graduate, it feels like only yesterday I was driving up to my uni with my mum and she was waving goodbye to me.... but the time has come for me to be a grown up guys and enter the real world!! (tears). I am just so thankful to God for all he has brought me through and where He is taking me!
Anyways here are a few pictures from the day and my outfits which where of course Ankara, Enjoy! :D.

☆.Africa Fashion Week Outing.☆

So I attended Africa Fashion week this weekend and it was certainly an experience (lol). It was at Old Spitafields Market, with many stalls on the day there was plenty to look at before the fashion show actually began.

JodiB's stall had some fun and bright clutch bags which really caught my eye.

Dionne Gooding's store also had various styles of shoes and clutch bags. What I really liked about her items where that some where also covered in flags.

☆.OOTN: Ankara top & dress.☆

I realised that I never show you guys what I wear when I go out, and trust me I go out quite a bit (especially to Nigerian parties) Sooooo here is my first post of my Ankara outfits. Hopefully this helps some people out there when they need to find styles to sew ankara, I know its so difficult for me! So I will be posting different pictures when I go to parties and different styles that I liked. Firstly starting with my aunty and myself.

Firstly make-up from the night, and I am also rocking some FloGlo Stylez. Stud earrings...(if you didn't know this is my accessory line soon to be launched!!)

So I got this top sewn when i was in Nigeria, it has a nice flared bottom with puffy arms. The belt pictured did not come attached I just added it.
