☆.My Lagos Finds: Pure Aesthetics Salon & Spa - Salon Review.☆

I call this place a hidden gem in the heart of Lekki, it's located on 'Fola Osibo' road right beside Gravitas Supermarket, if you're familiar with this road it is just where the ATM machine is hehe.

So now to the review, my day starts on a late Sunday afternoon, wasn't feeling too good but realised I really, REALLY needed to get my hair washed, steamed and braided down for my wigs (y'all know about the wig life). Being as it was a Sunday I didn't expect many salons to be open so I was on a search for somewhere to get my hair done at an affordable price.

I took my normal route via Fola Osibo and saw a banner outside some gate, I must admit it did look quite dodgy but hey it claimed to be a salon. So I stumble inside and see a cute little Salon at the back of a furniture store.

I was met by a lovely guy called Godwin who attended to me very well.

Location:
18A Emma Abimbola Street off Fola Osibo, beside Gravista Supermaket Lekki Phase 1
+2340905 667 2104 Lagos

He first of all gave me a wash and then a treatment, I took my own treatment product which was the 'ApHogee Two Step Protein Treatment' so he applied this into my hair.

☆.Natural Hair: Everyday Styles.☆

Its been a while I did a post on my natural hair and I just wanted to come in an update you guys on whats going on with my hair and my go-to styles. I will be hitting my 2 year post relaxer mark in September, time goes so fast and well although I am happy with the health of my hair I do feel like I could have achieved more length. Since I have been natural I have only had one trim and for those of you that know trimming your hair (natural or not) is a MUST as the ends are the oldest part of your hair. So I will definitely be getting a trim ASAP and keeping up with my hair care journey.

Here are some recent pictures of my natural hair styles and you can see that my colour has grown out quite a lot, I doubt I will be recolouring my hair again just because it is hard work maintaining coloured hair (all the extra moisture it needs).

This post was more about showing you guys my go-to styles when my hair is not a protective style (braids, twists, crotchet braids).

☆.Protective Style: Styling Crotchet Braids.☆

Heya guys,

So I just wanted to show you some random ways I have been styling my crotchet braids since I've had them in. I should be taking them out soon as its coming to four weeks of them being installed but I must say this is definitely a GO-TO hairstyle for me!

☆.Protective Style of the month.☆

I got my hair did Y'all...whenever i'm in Nigeria, if you dont know by now i ALWAYS get my hair put in twists..its much cheaper and quicker. it cost me 4,000 Naira which is the equivalent of £16, Can you say BOOYAH! (not even a pack of weave is that cheap). That's why i love doing my hair there and one thing i can say is they do it WELL!..I used the popular hair brand called Xpressions in colour #33 and highlights of colour #30. This will be Number the 3rd hairstyle for the protective style challenge I joined on YouTube.  Peep the pics below!

I lurvvvvv my twists, i think next time though ill get them done slightly bigger as i already had to take out some from the front so it wouldn't break the hair there. Watch out for some style tutorials!

Anyways until next time...Peace & God bless
